Emory Receives $518.6 Million in Research Funding

Emory University researchers received over half a billion dollars from external sourcing in 2012 from various foundations, such as the Gates Foundation support for AIDS vaccine research, and the National Institutes of Health to create an Autism Center of Excellence.  “Research areas receiving major donations range from organ transplants, cardiovascular disease, and cancer genome and drug discovery, to tree extracts, cellular information networks and beneficial bacteria, among many others” according to Emory Connects.  For more information on the funding and Emory’s research, read here!
