Emory’s African Student Association (ASA) hosted “Taste of Africa” this past weekend, an event where people can eat African food, listen to African music, and watch African performances (such as dance and spoken word) by Emory students and professors, as well as by people in the greater Atlanta community. The night was a huge success! The performances were wonderful, the food was delicious, and it was so much fun meeting people of all ages (from toddlers to grandparents) from all over Georgia who were celebrating their culture and connecting with people of shared African heritages in Atlanta.
